DescriptionIf you’re a nature lover, this camp is for you! Perched on the massif of Hautil and located in the regional Natural Reserve of French Vexin, Evecquemont is small village with an exceptional situation overhanging the valley of the Seine. This municipality possesses the second remarkable forest of Yvelines where two hiking trails pass. During this workcamp, you will take part in the development of this natural heritage by the rehabilitation of a part of a hiking trail.
Work And Activities
With a technical leader, you will take part in the rehabilitation of one of the hiking trails of the municipality. You will participate in the reconstruction of the initial route of the path which has suffer from collapsing over time. You will also organize cultural exchanges with the locals and will make this small municipality of 800 inhabitants livelier.
Accommodation And FoodYou will be hosted in shared room in the center of the village. The group will be sharing the cleaning chores and preparing meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the preparation of meals with healthy products from the market and local producers.
PlaceSituated in Yvelines, West of Paris, Evecquemont offers a great view over the valley of the Seine. Far from the pollution of the city you can enjoy the open air, more than half of the municipal territory is occupied by the forest of Hautil and it is a member of the regional park of French Vexin. Evecquemeont offers beautiful hikes, in particular thanks to the GR 1 and GR 2 hiking trails passing through. Furthermore every Sunday a Baladobus is organized by the natural reserve of Vexin, it is a stroll by bus that crosses the countryside of French Vexin to make you discover the main places of interest of this territory. You will be one hour and a half away from the centre of Paris.
RequirementsPlease bring gardening gloves, good shoes and working clothes. As the nights can be quite cold, remember also to bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag.
